The cottage looks out across a beautiful wooded valley. There is a private garden with sun loungers for sunbathing or mature trees for those that prefer the shade.
For many the blissfully quiet location will be an oppotunity to just relax, while others will want to walk, cycle or horse ride in the surrounding countryside and enjoy the rich and varied wildlife - deer, red squirrels, kites, golden oriole, nightingales, nightjars, hoopoe, a miriad of butterflies and abundant wild flowers.
The spacious lounge has been comfortably furnished and has English and French TV. There is a modern kitchen fully equiped for easy living. The lovely bedroom with a roomy king size bed has a luxury en suite bathroom with a heated towel rail. Both the lounge and the bedroom open onto a very pretty terrace, furnished for outdoor living and perfect for that romantic dinner or somewhere to sit with a good book. There is a gas BBQ.
Maison des Fleurs
Delightful cottage part of an old manoir reached along a winding lane through flower meadows nestling in the hills. Great care has been taken to retain the charm of the property while providing every creature comfort.
The spacious and comfortable lounge has a wonderful inglenok fireplace, English & French TV, radio/cd player etc. There is a modern kitchen fully equipt for easy living. There is lovely bedroom with a king size bed and luxury en suite bathroom with a heated towel rail.
Outside the gite opens onto a pretty covered terrace shaded by trumpet vine, with table and chairs, perfect for that romantic dinner or somewhere nice to sit with a good book. There are sun loungers BBQ etc. The gite looks out across a courtyard over gardens and overlooks a lovely ornamental fishpond.

Tranquil farmhouse on a wooded hillside close to a beautiful town.
This delightful cottage is reached along a winding lane through flower meadows where it nestles in the hills. Part of an old manoir every care has been taken to retain the charm of the property while providing every possible comfort.
There is a spacious, comfortable lounge overlooking a long garden and across the valley, a dining area overlooks a lovely courtyard and there is a modern fully equiped kitchen. One bedroom is a double and the other has two single beds. Both are spacious and have luxury en suite bathrooms with heated towel rails. There is a conservatory at the rear perfect for eating, relaxing and enjoying views of the garden and across the valley. At the top of the garden is a patio with BBQ, sun loungers etc. and towards the bottom is a picnic table.

The pretty village of St. Pompon is 10 mins walk away and has all basic shops, two bars and excellant restaurant. Take time to to sit in the square with a cold beer and just watch life or saunter through the back lanes taking in the ambiance. The village celebrates those long Saturday summer evenings with street parties - trestle tables and benches provided, local food and wine sold at stalls, music played & dancing in the street - great fun! The picturesqe village of Daglan is 5 mins away and whilst there try the gourmet restaurant Petit Paris. Try eating outside in the Square...Wonderful!
The romantic cliff side villages of Beynac and La Roque Gageac are within a few minutes drive as is the bastide town of Domme with its wonderful views over the Dordogne.
The historic town of Sarlat with countless restaurants and colourful street markets is just a ride away and the nearby Sunday street market at St Cyprien takes some beating for sheer vitality.
A visit to this region would not be complete without time on a river. This might be paddling or swimming to an island, picnicing on the banks, perhaps a boat trip from La Roque Gageac or better still float down the river in a canoe, it's glorious
Garden lovers are spoilt for choice,with the fantastic topiary gardens at du Manoir d'Eyrignac, at one end of the scale, to the lovely natural Jardins de l'Albrede at the other. The garden at Marqueyssac with its breathtaking views of the river and neighbouring chateaux is candlelit on Thursday evenings - very magical!
The Dordogne is known for its wooded valleys, glorious rivers and 1000 Fairy Castles.There are also prehistory cave paintings, art galleries, craft centers, wonderful restaurants, colourful bars, vineyards.....you won't be bored!
